Diyadin Geothermal Resource Exploration Project (1.09.2025)

Diyadin Geothermal Resource Exploration Project is planned by Zorlu Jeotermal Enerji Elektrik Üretim A.Ş. within the boundaries of Operating License No. 15, located in Diyadin District of Ağrı Province. Within the scope of the project, Zorlu Jeotermal Enerji Elektrik Üretim A.Ş. plans to drill three geothermal exploration wells. This project has been prepared under the second round of the Risk Sharing Mechanism Program for the drilling of three geothermal exploration wells (ZDM-2, ZDM-3, ZDM-6). The Risk Sharing Mechanism Program is one of the components of the Turkey Geothermal Development Project, financed by the World Bank. The implementing agency is a dedicated unit within the Development and Investment Bank of Türkiye. The Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) and Stakeholder Engagement Plan (SEP) prepared for the project are presented below for the purpose of informing and consulting stakeholders.
