The TUNNEL Program, which has been one of the most important components of our digital transformation since 2021, aims to increase operational efficiency, digitize processes, and support sustainable growth. As of 2025, TUNNEL integrates the power of digitalization into business processes and delivers digital solutions that make a difference in the energy sector.

SHINE PROJECT

SHINE PROJECT

One of the most important steps in the digital transformation process, SHINE is one of the key projects shaping our company’s technology-oriented future.

Built on the IS-U system experience, one of the ERP solutions of the 2000s, S/4 HANA SHINE has been designed with a greenfield approach that includes SAP S/4 HANA and RISE with SAP Private Cloud Edition solutions, and is being implemented to cover all business processes in 11 companies under the Zorlu Energy Group.
Our SHINE Digital Transformation Program, which we embarked on with the motto "High Energy, Bright Future!", includes 13 projects, primarily the SAP S/4HANA RISE transformation.

  • In power plant warehouse (EWM) and maintenance-repair (PM) processes, faster and more efficient process management with modern interfaces and mobility support
  • Efficient inventory management, material batch tracking, and expiration date management through the EWM system

We ensure uninterrupted service with our mobile container-based disaster recovery center, while increasing operational resilience through business continuity plans integrated with all our business units. With our 100% reachable call center and IVR system that can resolve 42% of requests on its own, we have accelerated customer communication.

By completing the Data Analytics and Reporting project in the fields of geothermal resource production and well management, we launched the necessary dashboards for resource management (Zorlu Energy Data Warehouse + Power BI).

We are implementing our next-generation technologies entirely with internal resources and generative AI support, by developing a platform called Sustainable Metrics that enables automatic calculations of carbon emissions and water footprint.

Zorlu Enerji and Artificial Intelligence

At Zorlu Enerji, we continue to develop innovative and intelligent solutions in the sector by transforming our business processes through AI-focused projects. Within this scope, we defined our current and targeted levels of artificial intelligence maturity through our AI Vision Workshop.

Subsequently, we provided AI Awareness Training to all our employees to enhance company-wide understanding and adaptation to artificial intelligence. By organizing the AI Roadmap Workshop with the participation of all business process owners, we identified our priority projects and created a comprehensive project inventory.

Following these efforts, we carried out a Generative AI Chatbot PoC study with our R&D teams to integrate artificial intelligence technologies into our business processes. We detailed our needs for the effective use of AI in operations and set targets to enhance operational efficiency.

By reinforcing our digital transformation with AI-supported projects, we continue to develop data-driven and sustainable solutions for the energy sector.

We are proud to be one of the companies with the highest number of accepted projects under the “National Software Ecosystem Project” supported by EMRA (Energy Market Regulatory Authority).

In this context, we are working with our business partners to lead the development of domestic technologies and drive digital transformation in the sector through the following projects:


  • YE3AP – National Energy Ecosystem Integration and Master Data Management Platform: We are developing a domestic platform that provides integrated data management and analytics tailored for the energy sector.

  • Technical Quality Measurement Systems Project: We are establishing an innovative measurement system to monitor and improve technical quality standards in distribution processes.

  • Yerli GIS – Şimşek (Lightning): We are developing a domestic Geographic Information System (GIS) solution to ensure more efficient management of our distribution network.

  • BlokPort – Blockchain-Based Field Inventory and Financial Health Index Project: We are implementing a project that strengthens field inventory management and financial processes using blockchain technology.

  • E-Keys Integrated Outage Management System R&D Project (OMS): We are digitizing outage management processes with an integrated approach to improve operational efficiency.

  • ITSM – Information Technology Service Management Project: We are standardizing IT service management processes to enhance the effectiveness of our corporate IT infrastructure.

  • National Big Data Analytics Platform Project: We are developing a domestic platform that delivers big data analytics solutions tailored for the energy sector.

  • ElectrAI Field Team Performance Measurement Project: We are optimizing our processes by measuring the performance of our field teams through AI-supported analytical tools.
