50 MW solar energy investment in Kazakhstan by Zorlu Energy

In order to increase investments and develop mutual trade relations between Turkey and Kazakhstan, a goodwill agreement was signed for a 50 MW Solar Power Plant project in Kazakhstan by Zorlu Energy, Kazakhstan Ministry of Energy and Turkestan District Governorate. The project was developed by "Turkey - Kazakhstan Investment Forum" which was organized in Ankara in collaboration with Kazakhstan - Ministry of Investment and Development, Republic of Turkey - Ministry of Trade and DEİK (Foreign Economic Relations Board-Turkey).

Within the framework of Kazakhstan's projects in line with their economic goals for 2050, "Turkey - Kazakhstan Investment Forum" was held in Ankara JW Marriot Hotel. First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin, T.R. Energy and Natural Resources Minister Fatih Dönmez, Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Kanat Mozumbayev and DEIK Turkish-Kazakh Business Council President Mert Sarı participated in the forum.

Kazakhstan - Minister of Energy Kanat Mozumbayev and Zorlu Energy - General Manager of Investments, Operations and Maintenance Ali Kındap signed a goodwill agreement for the development of a 50 MW Solar Power Plant in the forum. This forum is a very important step taken for Kazakhstan to leave behind the economic structure based on raw materials and natural resources exports, especially oil and natural gas.
