Our Collaborations
As Zorlu Enerji, we play an active role in combating climate change and carry out efforts to support sustainable development. To this end, we adopt a collective approach to our climate goals by establishing strategic collaborations with industry leaders, NGOs, and various platforms.
United Nations Global Compact (UNGC)
As Zorlu Enerji, we integrate the Ten Principles of the UNGC into our business processes and shape our sustainability approach in accordance with these principles. We disclose our progress regarding the implementation of these Principles through the annual Communication on Progress (CoP) Report we publish.
UN Global Compact CFO Taskforce
As a proud member of the UN Global Compact’s CFO Taskforce, we exchange ideas with a multi-sectoral group that brings together corporate finance leaders, investors, financial institutions, and the United Nations, developing new concepts and frameworks.
Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi)
We are proud to be the first energy company in the sector to commit to the international “Science Based Targets Initiative,” which aims to eliminate the negative impacts of the climate crisis. By decoupling electricity generation from fossil sources, we provide clean and reliable energy supply and support the regenerative transformation of our existing line of business.
We commit to reducing emissions across our value chain to net zero by 2040. Our commitment to becoming a Net-Zero company by 2040 has been approved by the SBTi.
UN Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs)
Since 2020, through our commitment to the WEPs, we have embraced increasing the role of women in the business world and promoting gender equality as one of our primary goals. In our progress reports, we share our steps in women’s employment and development.
Integrated Reporting Turkey Network (ERTA)
Our ERTA membership, where we place the principles of transparency and sustainability at the center of our business model, offers an important platform under the leadership of our CEO to develop best practices in financial and sustainability reporting. This membership also serves to increase investor confidence.
Business Council for Sustainable Development Turkey (BCSD Türkiye)
Through our membership in the Business Council for Sustainable Development Turkey (BCSD Türkiye), we play an active role in achieving sustainable development goals. Our Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications represents our Company within BCSD Türkiye and engages in in-depth exchanges on sustainable business models, environmental protection, and social responsibility. As a member of BCSD Türkiye, we aim to raise sustainability standards in the sector and create positive change in the business world.
Corporate Social Responsibility Association of Turkey (TKSD)
Our TKSD membership supports our commitment to social contribution and corporate social responsibility. Within this scope, our company develops innovative projects with sector leaders and reinforces our responsibility towards society.

Sponsorships
As Zorlu Enerji, through our sponsorships, we aim to support progress toward our vision, raise awareness and provide education on sustainability, and add value to the local communities where we operate. In addition, we aim to create a positive social impact by sponsoring social and charitable initiatives.
As a principle, we do not enter into sponsorship agreements with political parties, organizations, campaigns or candidates, religious purposes, or individuals.
