Our Energy Is for Justice and Equality!

At Zorlu Enerji, we shape sustainable growth with a human-centered approach. We believe that people are the cornerstone of all our processes, and we manage our business operations with this understanding. Our top priority is to ensure that our employees are not adversely affected; in line with this, we shape our human resources policies based on employee feedback and human-centered management principles.

Zorlu Enerji defines human rights as a priority issue for all stakeholders. This approach has been shaped through prioritization studies involving both internal and external stakeholders and is addressed under the “People and Culture” pillar, one of the three main components of our sustainability strategy.

Our approach aligns with the relevant labor legislation and is fully compatible with our commitments to the Zorlu Enerji Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, the International Labour Organization (ILO) Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, and the United Nations Global Compact.

We prioritize respect for human rights in all our operations and shape our activities around these core values. Even in countries considered critical regions—such as Pakistan and Palestine—we operate with great care to avoid any form of human rights violation. Acting with a strong sense of responsibility, we adopt respect for human rights as a fundamental principle in all regions where we operate.

In line with our sustainable growth vision, we also aim to create positive impacts in the communities where we operate. As part of our responsible corporate conduct approach, we prioritize local employment. Unless a role requires highly specialized skills, we always evaluate local human resources in our recruitment processes. Through this approach, we aim to improve the quality of life for local communities and contribute to the national economy.

Corporate Restructuring and Human Rights Commitment

What Do We Do?

We strive to ensure that human rights are respected across our entire value chain. This includes enhancing and strengthening our human rights due diligence approach for employees, local communities, and individuals within our supply chain.

Once fully developed, our approach will be integrated into our core business processes. This means we will have systems in place to identify and assess human rights risks across our value chain, take appropriate actions, monitor and evaluate these activities both internally and externally, and report accordingly.

Developing meaningful stakeholder engagement processes and providing an effective grievance mechanism will also play a vital role in ensuring a robust due diligence process.
