The “Liderlikte Kadın Yüz’ü” Program, launched by Zorlu Enerji in partnership with Turkishe and YeniBirLider, offers a holistic development model designed to support young women in their leadership journeys. Introduced at a launch event held in Istanbul, the program will bring 100 young women aged 18–30 from across Türkiye into a structured leadership journey spanning eight months.

Designed in alignment with Zorlu Enerji’s Akıllı Hayat (Smart Life 2030) vision and Eşit Bi’ Hayat (Equal Life) approach, the program aims to empower young women at an early stage through mentoring, exposure to role models, and multidimensional leadership experiences. Throughout the program, participants will take part in a long-term development process encompassing mentoring sessions, training modules, role model meetings, and project development initiatives.

Inclusive Transformation in the Energy Sector

The energy sector continues to be one of the fields historically associated with low female representation. While women’s employment in the energy sector in Türkiye stands at approximately 12 percent, Zorlu Enerji Group has increased this ratio to 26 percent within its organization. The company aims to raise the share of women employees to over 30 percent by 2030.

Commenting on the program’s connection to corporate transformation, Zorlu Enerji CEO Elif Yener stated:

“We address the energy transition through a leadership approach that prioritizes inclusivity and equal representation, alongside investments and technologies. This holistic perspective strengthens the lasting impact of transformation. The ‘Liderlikte Kadın Yüz’ü’ Program represents an important step in making young women’s potential more visible and supporting their stronger participation in decision-making processes.”

Focus on Mentoring, Training, and Entrepreneurship

The mentoring structure of the program is built on a broad mentor pool that includes C-level executives and leaders from various sectors. The training component has been designed with a Mini MBA approach. Covering topics such as leadership, entrepreneurship, sustainability, technology, financial literacy, communication, and career design, the program will offer an average of 50 hours of training content over the course of the year.

Entrepreneurship is also among the program’s core components. To connect participants’ project and venture ideas with the broader ecosystem, opportunities will be provided for engagement with the mentoring network and partner institutions.

Impact Measurement and a Scalable Model

The social impact of the program will be monitored through a multidimensional SROI model that covers mentoring sessions, training participation, project outputs, community engagement, and increased visibility. Following the first year, the model is intended to be scaled and expanded.

Conducted under the sponsorship of Zorlu Enerji, the “Liderlikte Kadın Yüz’ü” Program aims to contribute to an inclusive and sustainable future vision that supports young women’s leadership, serving as a strong example of collaboration between the private sector and civil society.
