As one of the leading companies in renewable energy, Zorlu Enerji earned its place on CDP’s A List by demonstrating strong performance across key areas including climate strategy, transparent reporting, robust governance, and effective emissions management in the 2025 Climate Change Program assessment. In 2025, while 22,400 companies worldwide reported under the CDP Climate Change category, only 112 companies achieved an “A” score. With its approach that places climate considerations at the core of its business strategy, Zorlu Enerji has internationally reaffirmed this achievement.

Zorlu Enerji has been reporting to CDP since CDP Türkiye was established in 2010

Zorlu Enerji, which has been reporting to CDP since CDP Türkiye was established in 2010, views managing the climate crisis as a fundamental component of its core business strategy and a key lever supporting growth. In line with this approach, the company measures its direct and indirect emissions in accordance with international standards and integrates climate risks into its financial planning, transforming its resilience in the transition to a low-carbon economy into a transparent performance indicator for global investors. The CDP reporting discipline sustained for more than a decade reflects Zorlu Enerji’s leadership in sustainable energy transformation and its vision to develop its business model in alignment with the low-carbon world of the future.

“We aim for climate aligned growth”

Commenting on the achievement at CDP, Zorlu Enerji CEO Elif Yener emphasized that sustainability is addressed as a strategic management area encompassing the entire value chain, stating:

“At Zorlu Enerji, we aim to be a facilitator of Türkiye’s sustainable and regenerative growth. Through the strategies we develop, we seek to contribute not only to our own operations but also to our country’s decarbonization, water efficiency, and biodiversity conservation goals. In this context, we focus our investments on renewable energy sources.
Since 2010, we have transparently disclosed our carbon footprint to the public every year within the scope of CDP reporting, and since 2015, we have voluntarily reported under the CDP Water Program. Our inclusion on the CDP A List demonstrates that our approach, which places climate considerations at the center of our business strategy, is also recognized at an international level. We will continue our efforts with determination for a more sustainable and climate-positive future. In this framework, we aim to achieve net-zero emissions by 2040, to reduce water use per unit of energy produced every year by 2030, and to become a net-positive company for nature by 2035.”
