Based on the material event statement dated May 25, 2017, Zorlu Enerji has a 99.7% partnership with a total capital of 10,000 Pakistani rupees, and the company’s main activity is the production and supply of electricity, including thermal energy facilities, wind power plants, hydroelectric power plants, and solar power plants, without any resource restrictions, it was decided to establish a company titled “Zorlu Renewable (Private) Limited," whose registration procedures were completed on June 1, 2017. Zorlu Renewable (Private) Limited is the establishment and operation of electrical energy projects and transmission systems, including, but not limited to, energy facilities and any renewable generation facility, in a way to be chosen by the company, and the production, purchase, supply, and installation of complementary elements of these facilities.
In July 2017, the Punjab State Government granted Zorlu Renewable a preliminary license to develop a 100 MW solar power plant under the terms of a goodwill agreement signed by Zorlu Enerji with the Punjab State Government.
