2025

-Zorlu Enerji completed the sale of the natural gas power plants in Israel in which it held minority stakes, thereby terminating all electricity generation and sales activities in the region.
-Zorlu Enerji ranked first among 346 energy companies evaluated worldwide, receiving a score of 92 out of 100 in the LSEG ESG assessment.
-Zorlu Enerji strengthened its global ESG performance by receiving an ESG score of 85 in the latest S&P Global assessment.
-Zorlu Enerji became entitled to receive a 20-year Aggregator License from the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA).
-Zorlu Enerji received an A rating in the CDP Climate Change Program 2025 assessment, certifying its climate-focused strategies at the international level.
-The “Liderlikte Kadın Yüz’ü” (Faces of Women in Leadership) program, implemented under the leadership of Zorlu Enerji in cooperation with Turkishe and the Yenibirlider Association, was officially launched.
-Within the scope of its Smart Life 2030 strategy, Zorlu Enerji successfully completed the “Enerjik Babam – Father Support Program,” carried out at the Denizli Geothermal Power Plant in cooperation with AÇEV (Mother Child Education Foundation).
-Zorlu Enerji successfully completed the FutureFem’25 Program, aimed at preparing young women for careers in the energy sector; 18 participants graduated from the program, and three graduates secured long-term internship opportunities.
-Through its R&D and innovation projects, Zorlu Enerji was included in the Horizon Europe list based on official European Commission data and was recognized among Türkiye’s most successful industrial organizations.

2024

-Zorlu Enerji completed the transfer of its natural gas distribution companies to Palmet in order to focus on its activities in the renewable energy field.
-The Zorlu Enerji Calibration Center was granted TÜRKAK accreditation in the Turbine/Rotary Type Industrial Natural Gas Meters category.
-Zorlu Enerji ranked 3rd among 334 companies with a score of 88 in the LSEG ESG assessment and increased its ESG score to 74 within the scope of the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment.
-Zorlu Enerji was selected as the most reputable brand in the Energy Generation sector in the Türkiye Reputation Index Research.
-Zorlu Enerji received an A- rating under the CDP Climate Change Program, advancing to the Leadership level.
-ZES and electrip entered into a cooperation with Hubject for the development of e-roaming solutions.
-Zorlu Enerji signed share purchase agreements for the sale of its directly held stakes in Ezotech Electric Ltd., Solad Energy Ltd., and Adnit Real Estate Ltd. in Israel.
-Elif Yener was appointed as Zorlu Enerji’s first female CEO.

2023

-Zorlu Enerji obtained licenses for energy storage–integrated wind power plants with a total installed capacity of 375 MWe, to be established in Yeniçiftlik, Tekirdağ, and Hamitabat, Kırklareli.
-The R&D project titled “Polyethylene (PE) Lines Off-Channel Domestic Gas Shut-Off Equipment,” developed by Gaziantep Natural Gas Distribution Inc., was successfully completed.
-A strategic partnership with Schaeffler, focused on efficiency, reliability, and sustainability in wind energy, was announced.

2022

  • The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) application for Zorlu Energy’s "Integrated Renewable Power Generation Facility"—a hybrid project combining solar power with the Alaşehir 1 Geothermal Power Plant (GPP) in Manisa—was approved. This milestone positioned Zorlu Energy among Turkey’s pioneers in hybrid geothermal-solar plants.
  • Zorlu Energy executed the first transaction on the YEK-G Market launched by EPİAŞ, becoming Turkey’s first YEK-G Certificate provider while also securing renewable energy certificates for all its offices and power plants.
  • Zorlu Energy earned the "Zero Waste Certificate" for its compliance with the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization’s Zero Waste Management Directive.
  • Electrip Global and WrenHouse Partnership was established.

2021

  • ZES (Zorlu Energy Solutions) won a UNDP (United Nations Development Programme) tender to build an EV charging station network across Montenegro, marking its first international project in this field.
  • Ranked 4th among 54 global energy companies in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) performance by Vigeo Eiris, reflecting Zorlu Energy’s leadership in sustainable solutions.

2020

  • Commissioned the 1,998 MWp Dead Sea Solar Power Plant in Jericho, Palestine, under a joint venture agreement with Jerusalem District Electricity Company (JDECO)—which distributes 25% of Palestine’s electricity. The plant will supply power to JDECO under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
  • Expanded into Europe by founding ZES B.V. in the Netherlands to deploy EV charging infrastructure across the EU and neighboring markets.
  • Became a direct signatory of the UN Global Compact, aligning with Zorlu Holding’s Smart Life 2030 Vision.
