Award from USA to Zorlu Enerji's engineering firm

Engineering company Power Engineers that designed Turkey's largest geothermal power plant Kızıldere 3, won the first prize in the "Idaho Engineering Excellence Award Competition" sponsored annually by “American Engineering Companies Council" in the Idaho State of the United States of America.

Zorlu Enerji, one of the pioneers of Turkey in the field of indigenous and renewable energy, won the first prize in an engineering competition based in USA with its project of Kızıldere 3 brought to the economy in the framework of the vision of sustainability. Zorlu Enerji's engineering firm of the Kızıldere 3 project, Power Engineers, won the first prize in the “Idaho Engineering Excellence Award Competition” organized every year with the support of “Idaho Engineering Companies Council” in the United States of America. As well as the engineering works of Power Engineers, which carried out the detailed engineering and commissioning works starting from the design of Kızıldere 3, the innovative and fast approaches brought to the problems encountered were also effective in the project's award.

Kızıldere III Geothermal Power Plant, which is the fourth geothermal energy project of Zorlu Enerji in Turkey, Turkey's largest, is among the world's leading energy plants. The plant has a triple flash combined cycle geothermal power plant with an installed capacity of 165 MW.
