While the period of the periodic inspection application of the measurement instruments such as electricity, water and gas counters reaches its deadline at the end of February; Zorlu Energy Calibration Center, operating in Gaziantep Organized Industrial Zone, informed about the completion of periodic inspection applications of natural gas counters and periodical inspections in the same year.

Within the scope of the Regulation on Measurement and Measurement Instruments of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, the periodic inspection period of the measurement and measurement instruments is terminated as of 28 February. Zorlu Energy Calibration Center, located in Gaziantep Organized Industrial Zone, has warned companies that have 10 year stamp expired natural gas counter and  in the inventory of distribution companies and organized industrial zones of making the necessary examination applications before the end of the period. Zorlu Enerji emphasized that an administrative fine of 2 600 liras will be imposed on the counters that have not been inspected during the current period, as per Article 15 / c of the Measures and Regulation Law No. 3516; and mentioned that natural gas counters can be sent from anywhere in Turkey to Zorlu Energy Calibration Center founded in an open area of 1200 square meter.

Deniz, providing information on the period of periodic inspections, said that periodic inspection of electricity, water and gas counters, to be made every ten years was mandatory in accordance with Article 9 / b of Measurement and Measurement Instruments Inspection Regulation. The seal on the counter contains the last two digits of the year in which the counter is stamped. In the calculation of the periodic inspection period of the measurement and measurement instruments within the scope of this Regulation, the year in which they are stamped shall be taken as the basis and shall be counted as the first year of the year in which they are stamped, whatever the date is. The remaining period is calculated from the year following the year in which it was stamped.

Mehmet Akif Deniz, Director of Zorlu Energy Calibration Center, made a statement on the subject. He said, ”in calibration processes, we are performing counter calibration according to the Standards and Measurement Law No. 3516 and the standards determined in the Measurement and Measurement Instruments Inspection Regulations“.Deniz said that the center was regularly controlled by the Ministry of Industry and Technology. February 28 is the last day. Institutions that have 10-year counters must have the necessary inspection. Especially distribution companies and OIZs should make their applications.” Applications can be submitted remotely or electronically via the digital system implemented last year by the Ministry of Industry and Technology within the scope of Reducing the Bureaucracy, Simplification of Legislation (BAMS). It will be sufficient to notify the calibration number of the relevant periodic inspection or complaint counter applications.
